After months of hard work, some setbacks (including a worldwide pandemic) and many long meetings, Chichester Pride was finally realised on May 28th 2022 – and was a huge success!
We are incredibly proud that our debut annual event sold out and feedback has been incredible.

Acts of 2022
Community-drive entertainment and acts
On the Main Stage, we enjoyed entertainment from performers who reflected the full diversity of the LGBTQ+ community and from students and community groups based in the city.
From flamboyant drag queens and kings to choirs, steel bands and musical theatre groups, our Pride ticket holders enjoyed a full afternoon of entertainment.
Pride activities
Something for all ages!
Ticket holders also had the opportunity to get involved with family friendly activities around the college.
These included a climbing wall, dance classes, giant inflatables and ‘Drag Queen Story Hour UK’ with Aida H Dee, the newly appointed ‘Leader Of The Year 2022’ at The PinkNews Awards!

Pride stalls
Teaming up with local businesses!
There was also a great selection of stalls and food vendors for our ticket holders to browse throughout the day.
We had amazing support from local businesses, charities, community groups, political parties and market stall holders who all wanted to be involved and our stall pitches sold out very quickly.

We could not have asked for a better atmosphere (and weather!) on the day and the committee were especially pleased that our family-friendly approach gave Chichester Pride a unique identity compared to other Pride events along the south coast.
We owe our success to many individuals and organisations and for 2023, we need you more than event to make our event bigger and better!
