Meet the Team - Anthony

Name: Anthony (he/him)

Role: Marketing and Graphic Design

Hello! Welcome to the first instalment in a series of blogs featuring our team at Chichester Pride.

My name is Anthony (He/Him), and I'm Pride's Marketing and Graphic Designer volunteer. Aside from Pride, I work as an International Marketing Coordinator at Chichester College Group while freelancing as a Graphic Designer.

I have worked for various companies such as leading educational providers, social media agencies, film production companies and more. My experience has given me access to a range of skills and a bank of knowledge which I believe will help with Pride's 2022 event.

I moved to Chichester in 2018 after graduating from the University of Winchester. (Love a city with 'Chester' in the name). If you have been to Winchester, you would think you were in Chichester (Not sure if this is sacrilege - but it's true!). Therefore, this resemblance made it easier to call Chichester my new home.

I live with my boyfriend and our adorable cockapoo - Alfie!

I identify as Bisexual, which (over time) has become something I'm proud to be. I feel like my love has no bounds. I believe in showing acceptance and creating a safe space for all, which is why I have joined Chichester Pride, as this is their mission and purpose for Pride 2022.

In the past, I have struggled with finding my place in the community and feeling stuck in the middle. Over the years, I have gained a strong team of friends and family who believe in supporting and encouraging those to be their authentic selves.

Ultimately, this aided me on my journey of acceptance and discovery of who I am. This feeling of community and support echoes through Chichester Pride, and I couldn't be prouder to be part of this team.

My vision of Chichester Pride 2022 is an event that radiates community spirit. This event's purpose is not solely to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community but to commemorate the sacrifice and hard work of those that have made our present a safer place to be.

Don't get me wrong, there still is much work to do, but I believe we can make a difference for the local community.
